Cross Country

We have been writing a recout about cross country I hope you enjoy.

Yesterday on Thursday it was Cross Country when the bell ring the whole school went to there class’s and were walked down to the courts and went to our positions.

Mr Burt called groups up and they went to the field to race. The first group to go was the year 1 boys they lined up on the field’ Mr Burt said get your marks get set CAPP!

lt was nearly our turn Miss Jarman said year 6 girls come on we are going to race I had BUTTERFLIES I was freaking out we were on the I said WOW IT IS HAPPEN LIKE NOW.

When I was running I felt better that I was running because my BUTTERFLIES were gone so I was glad that we're gone. My Experience was good but next time i really want to try harder and second third or first never no thow.

Continenets

We have been learning about continents here is my sentence that I did.

Continents are a big piece of land. Different countries are  a part of different continents. There are 7 continents. They are Australia,  Asia, Europe,  North America, South America,  Antarctica and Africa.

Australia continent is the smallest continent. lt only has 4 countries in it. New Zealand is not apart of Australia but a continent called Zealandia.

Culture Punctuation

I have been learning about Culture look at my blog.

Culture is a word for peoples 'way of life' meaning the way groups do things. Different groups of people may have different Cultures a Culture is passed on to the next generation by learning culture is seen in peoples writing religion music?C lothes cooking and in what they do

N ball Basketball.

Today and yesterday I have been making up my own Commonwealth Game.I have been writing some ideas about what to do. Look down below there is some writing for you to look at.

Net  basketball was created by Kaitlynne Anderson in Auckland in 2014. The aim of the game is to try and win and shoot a point.

For your Equipment you will need a ball shoes and shorts and a T-shirt water bottle.You will need a two Basketball hoops a with two circles.

For your players you will need GA GD GS GK WA WD those are the positions you will need.These are the rules you will need  to listen to.When you shoot the other person has to say 3 feet away from you and defend you from getting a point.

Commonwealth Games

This week I have been learning about the Commonwealth games I chose to do Netball because i have been playing Netball for 6 years so thats why i chose to do Netball.    Look down below here.

Netball

What is Netball?

Netball is a team sport played on a court. There are always 2 teams on the court at one time. Each team has 7 players and each player has a different job to do on the court.

Positions on the Court

There are 7 different positions in a netball team. They are Goal Shot (GS), Goal Attack (GA), Wing Attack (WA), Centre (C), Wing Defence (WD), Goal defence (GD), Goal Keep (GK).

The GS and GA job is to shoot the goals and try get them in the hoop. The GK and GD try to stop the shooters from getting the ball and scoring goals. The C, WA and WD all try to bring the ball down the court from the defence end to the shooting end. This way they help to get the ball to the shooters.

How do you score points?

To score points you have to pass it to the third person and try and get a point in the goal if you miss it you can try and get it in the goal and that is how you get a goal.

Netball Teams that competed at the Commonwealth Games 2014

There were 12 teams that went to the Commonwealth Games to play netball. These were split up into 2 sections. Pool A and Pool B.

My Holiday Story

In the Holidays I went to my dads house I watched  Transformers age of extinction well me and  my brothers were waiting for the popcorn we were finishing Rio 2.

After we finished watching  the 2 movies we went to the park.The park was so cool the people that when was me my 3 brothers and my cousin Neave.

I went down the slide with my little baby his name is Dontay I love him so much.

       What is Culture?

Culture is when you are speaking and talking different language like Tonga Maori French Samon and other countries.

ln Tonga we eat raw fish,pigs,dogs and Horses.In Tonga when they dance they put baby oil on them so they can be shiny. In Tonga their beach has fish and shark but the shark doesn't harm you.

ln 1820 there was a boat called Essex they were traveling  in the Pacific ocean to find Moby Dick

The Whale was 32 meters and the whale came out of no where and crashed into the boat two times with its head and the boat sank.

The people on the ship were so hungry that they shoot the youngest sail on the boat and his name was Owen Coffin so he died.         

The Endeavour Ship

lt took Captain James Cook 3 years  to get to New Zealand and discover New Zealand.He  had 32 crew on his Endeavour ship he was the first palagi.Captain James Cook had 12 sails and the each had special names.He traveled from England to New Zealand.

My Nan’s name is Emily she’s likes cooking and baking  she works for pak n save.My Nan is a pudding lover she’s loves custard as well.When it is my birthday she gives me money or gifts.She lovers me like a big soft teddy bear.

My Mum’s name is Susi she likes cooking and baking just like my nan.My mum is a good driver and she lovers me.She took me to tonga and i loved it there and i am so happy and graceful that she took me there.When she is happy she takes us to places like rainbow’s end.

Swimming Lessons.

As  a pt England student we have annual swimming lessons at the Glen Innes pools.We go for half an hour every day over two weeks to improve our skills.

When we got in the pool the instructions said to get into groups of whales sharks dolphins. Then kevin the instruction said you have to go through the hula hoop. We felt exhausted and so tried.

My Swimming improve a lot over the two weeks we had lessons.
